What I bring for you...

In my bid to recover from my burnout and find my purpose and that lost joy, I became a certified Mindfulness practitioner where I explored and understood the weaknesses, the strengths and our relationship with the mind. I developed an ability to become an observer of my thoughts, learnt how to deal with difficult emotions, uncovered my unhealthy and self-sabotaging patterns, managed to dial down the mind chatter and silence the inner critic.

While I managed to work extensively with my mind, I increasingly felt the need to incorporate a practice that could work on releasing the stress that my body was holding and find practices to honor the needs of the body. That is when I introduced 2 more practice into the offering. Yoga and Alternate Therapies.

 

While you have the option to sign up for and explore any one service, Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation or Alternate Therapies as a monthly pack, I would recommend subscribing to all 3 as 1 single pack. The reason being, that each modality works on a part of us and we can't separate the mind from the body or vice versa. We can not completely heal ourselves until we work on both together. Yoga

I along with a Yoga expert have develop a style of Yoga which is rooted in the philosophy of Yin yoga and inspired by the practice of qi-gong which is about flow of energy in the body.

This is not your typical yoga class. While these incorporate all elements of the practice, namely breathwork, chanting, asanas, the intention of these sessions is to quieten the mind and develop a deep sense of the body and the sensations within. 

Meditation & Mindfulness

I have developed a unique format for these sessions, which allow you to do deep work. I use Meditation to bring you into a calm state so that we can begin understanding how we can use the tools from Mindfulness to heal ourselves, release pain, grief, anger etc, break free from unhealthy patters and learn to deal with difficult emotions.

Each session is designed on a theme that helps us explore and understand ourselves better. In each session, I will share mindfulness tools and guide you to explore them in situations that are personal to you so that you can apply these tools skillfully in your life.

Alternate Therapies

Where Yoga works consciously on the body first, Mindfulness works on the conscious mind first, I wanted to also offer a modality that works on a slightly deeper, sub-conscious level.

Also known as Creative Art Therapy, these are sessions where we explore using movement, art, sound etc to express ourselves. Think of this as a language, just like we use words, we can also use paints, colors, sounds, gestures and movement to release and work through repressed emotions.

Where the yoga sessions help you build a conscious, loving and compassionate relationship with the body, the mindfulness sessions help you feel calm and centered and allow you to do deep self-improvement work. At the same time, the expressive art therapy sessions help you explore and release emotions such as anger, grief, guilt, hurt etc in creative ways which are sometimes more powerful and effective than words!
